Gabrielle was born and raised in Greenville, SC. She attended Clemson University, where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. After graduation, she worked at Prisma Health, MUSC, and East Cooper in the Adult Emergency Departments. She soon realized that there was an exponential need for preventative medicine, and felt her calling to pediatric medicine.
In August 2019, she received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in Pediatric Primary Care from The Medical University of South Carolina. During her schooling, she lived abroad in Nürnberg, Germany for 3 years, where she worked with a primary care physician. Additionally, during her clinical rotations, she spent 6 months with Rachel McDowell, NP at CPA West Ashley.
After completion of this program, she was hired by CPA, and began practicing in July 2020. Gabrielle is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She presented her Doctorate project, a bilingual asthma action plan, at the 2020 SC Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She has a passion for exploring and learning other cultures and is conversational in Portuguese. Gabrielle and her husband, Pedro, reside in Charleston with their chocolate lab, Avery. She spends her free time playing soccer, snowboarding, water skiing, reading, and traveling.
