Carly Thomas

NURSE PRACTITIONER

Carly was raised in Bluffton, SC, and moved to Charleston in 2017. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina, Columbia, and earned a Bachelor's degree in nursing. After graduation, she practiced as an acute care pediatric inpatient nurse at Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital for over five years.

Carly then completed her graduate studies at the Medical University of South Carolina, earning her Doctorate in Pediatric Nursing practice. The entirety of her clinical training and mentorship was completed with Dr. Mohammed Al Gadban, a physician of many years at Coastal Pediatrics. Dr. Thomas is certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through the PNCB. She is passionate about parental education, newborn care management, clinical research, and preventative medicine.

In her free time, Carly likes to go to the beach, read books, attend church, go boating, walk her dogs (Boaz & Dooby), do yoga, and adventure to new places with her boyfriend, David.
